Extra Cash – ibotta Rebate Review

Getting cash back for purchases I make, sign me up! I’ve tried several shopping rebate apps and ibotta is my favorite.
How it works:
ibotta gives you small rebates on all types of purchases including online shopping and in traditional brick and mortar stores. Rebates are available by uploading receipts, linking your loyalty cards or shopping online through the app.
Rebates are credited to your account and can be redeemed for cash or gift cards once your account balance reaches $20.
My favorite thing about ibotta is that I can use it for things I would have bought anyway. I typically don’t set out to get rebates, but anytime we make a purchase, I check the ibotta app to see if there are any rebates available. Ibotta can also be used as part of your shopping planning, but if you run short on pre-shopping planning time, just save those receipts and check of cash back.
I’ve used the app for about a year and gotten about $100 back in rebates (honestly this would probably be higher if I was more diligent). It may not be a fortune, but it’s truly money I get for almost not effort on items I would have bought anyway.
